About In Home Pet Euthanasia
A directory and resource for Colorado pet families navigating end-of-life care.
The short version: We are a Colorado-built directory that helps pet families find compassionate in-home pet euthanasia, hospice, mobile vet, and cremation services. We are not a vet clinic. We do not provide care directly. We provide the map, the questions to ask, and the quality-of-life tools — so the right vet finds you at the right moment.
Why this exists
When a beloved pet starts to decline, families face one of the hardest questions in their lives: is it time? Most pet owners spend hours searching for answers — on forums, on social media, in late-night Google sessions — when they really need three things:
- A clear framework for thinking about quality of life
- A trusted list of in-home euthanasia and mobile veterinary providers in their area
- Permission to choose peace at home, when the time comes
This site exists to put those three things in one place — calmly, without ads, and without rushing the decision.
What we do
Directory
1,636 Colorado pet service providers, organized by city, county, and service type. Every entry is verified against public records.
Decision tools
The HHHHHMM quality-of-life calculator, weekly tracking sheets, and a guide to "is it time" conversations with your vet.
Education
Plain-language guides on hospice care, in-home euthanasia, aftercare options (cremation, aquamation, burial), and grief support.
What we are not
- We are not a veterinary clinic or a mobile vet service.
- We do not provide euthanasia, hospice, or any direct medical care.
- We do not sell medications, supplements, or pet products.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties. See privacy below.
How we choose providers
Listings are sourced from public business records, state veterinary board registries, and direct outreach to mobile and house-call vets. We do not accept payment for placement. Providers can claim their listing and submit updates — see For vets.
Founder
This directory is built and maintained by Paul Dolphin, a Colorado technologist who lost a beloved pet to a slow decline and could not find a single calm, ad-free place to think it through. The site you are reading is what he wished had existed.
